Honey the Nectar of life

We traveled up to the top of the mountain to Paschale cousins a 3rd generation beekeeper. On the way up Paschale  stopped to show us what the bees pollinated . In September  a bush name reiki (heather) produces a honey called  Anama. It's considered to have medicinal qualities. The Ikarians take a spoonful a day followed by a glass of water.

Other honeys are pine, sage, wild flower, smyris

IIkarian honey contains anti-cancer, anti inflammatory , anti-bacterial anti-viral, anti-fungal properties.
I have tried this on a wound with wonderful results.

Here we  eat honey almost everyday, on our goat yogurt, in our mountain tea, or just straight up Followed by a glass of water. We were told that Ikarian honey is only by pollinating the flowers, bushes. The beekeeper never feed their bees sugar or high high fructose corn syrup or anything for that matter. Here there is no need. Nature takes care of it all. There is saying you shouldn't mess with Mother Nature. Maybe this is our lesson!
